Just as an infant cannot skip adolescent stage to
get to adulthood, so also can we not skip the walking process to get to our
destination. The walking process is the growth process, while the destination
is the finished result.
As it is said, the only difference between
"here" and "there" is the letter 'T' which stands for
"Time". If you would love to reach your destination, then you have to
'walk' with time; your own time. Otherwise, your journey may end disastrously
even before you get to your destination.
Like Heidegger will say, "Time is a temporal
process." It goes on from past to present and to the future (ad
infinitum). For there to be a 'future', there have to be a 'present' and so on.
Time is a process that keeps us going. Once it's gone, it cannot be retrieved.
For us to get to our destination, we have to
"walk" towards there. Walking is a necessary process that leads us to
our destination and beyond. Also, it equips us with the appropriate tools
needed to guide, sustain, and establish us when we get to our destination.
The walking process is more important than the
destination. It's in this process we grow, by learning and trying new things,
falling and rising, etc. Hence, we have to keep walking to get our destination
and even beyond.
"THE MAN WHO LOVES WALKING WILL GO FURTHER
THAN THE MAN WHO LOVES THE DESTINATION!"
